About us
We are a small, family-owned business located in Rhode Island. Our son, Michael, has autism and was unable to find employment. Michael was interested in working in the foodservice industry, and we thought what better way for community involvement than a coffee shop! Red white & brew coffeehouse brought michael’s dream into a reality.
Michael also has many friends that make their own products and had nowhere to sell their beautiful items. We decided to also open a gift shop and the budding violet was born! the store is named after michael’s great grandparents, bud and violet. there’s nothing better than sipping on a latte while browsing our gift shop.

Inspiration
Michael, unable to find employment, inspired the creation of Red White & Brew Coffeehouse and The Budding Violet.
Local Artisans
We have over 40 vendors, all local artisans, selling unique, handmade products. We have many vendors that have disabilities, and helping to support them and grow their business is what The Budding Violet is all about.
